Target / Qualify
- Educate the client on the ESPC process
- Interviews with the client's financial leadership to understand desired financial criteria, financing structure, and balance sheet treatment
- Interviews with the client's facility leadership to understand master plan, existing conditions, challenge areas, and desired outcomes
Preliminary Energy Audit
- Analyze (36) months of utility bills. Utility Date Analysis, Energy Use Index (EUI), End Use Profile.
- Site investigation into the existing HVAC Systems, Lighting Systems, and Building Envelope of the facility.
- Facility Improvement Measure (FIM) Development
- Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) Costs, ROM Energy Savings, Operational Savings, Potential Utility Rebate Incentives, and the financial impact of any Grants on the proposed project is presented to the client during the verification meeting.
- Collaborate with the client on the M&V Options and methodology. Agree on the key variables.
- The client presents their Cost Effective Criteria to Apollo Solutions Group that any proposed project must meet.
- Apollo Solutions Group develops an Investment Grade Audit Proposal that states which Facility Improvement Measure will be developed and what the overall projects cost effective criteria will need to be met in order for the client to move forward to construction with the project.
Investment Grade Audit
- Baseline Development.
- Pre-Retrofit Measurements based on the agreed upon M&V Option and methodology.
- Site investigation interviews and observations is collected and used in the detailed energy analysis.
- Operational savings, emergency maintenance costs are agreed upon by the client and Apollo.
- Collaborate with the client on the Preliminary Design, equipment specification, and finalize the Scope of Work.
- Contactor grade budgets are used to develop the Guaranteed Maximum Construction Costs (GMAX)
- The guaranteed costs, guaranteed energy savings, operational savings, estimated utility rebate incentives, and the impact of a potential grant are presented to the client.
- Financial engineering of the project is undertaken.
- Final project details are presented in an Energy Services Proposal (ESP).
